Dr. Pereira graduated in Electrical Engineering from Federal University of Uberlândia (1987), and received his MSc and PhD from the same institution respectively in 1995 and 1998. He was a lecturer at the Federal University of Goiás in the Department of Computer Science between 1996 and 2001. He served as a lecturer at the State University of Londrina, in the Department of Electrical Engineering between 2001 and 2003. He was Head of Department of Electrical Engineering at the State University of Londrina between 2002 and 2003. He is currently Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. He was coordinator of the Biomedical Engineering Course between 2006 and 2007. He is currently Head of the Postgraduate Program in Biomedical Engineering of the Federal University of Uberlândia. He has experience in Biomedical Engineering, with emphasis in Biomechanics, acting on the following topics: instrumentation and modelling.
